JUST ANOTHER SPOKE IN THE WHEEL!

First things first I awoke this morning to this Sunrise. Snapped this photo, played short order cook for Hottie and Cujo, that put both of them back down for an early morning snooze. I walked down, actually up, to Bro B's house. I'm first greeted by Angel one of Bob's Seven dog people that share his abode! The horses are mid breakfast as I pass, Here comes three more of the seven, only three left to pet! I open Bro B's leaky squeaky door and there they are, the final three and Bro B stretched out and watching that ID channel! BTW as I write this, Hottie just switched from Man vs Food to ID, I think they're both considering a career change to private investigation!

I know by this time your saying. "Do I want to keep reading this?" And what the hell does another spoke in the wheel have to do with this rhetoric? The answer very soon!

Let's back up. When I woke up this morning I switched on the TV and noticed the DVR was recording something. After rubbing my eyes past the squeaky to the visual mode I discovered it was The Matrix. I remember now I set it to record about a week ago. I'm bored let's see what else is on, "Check it out" the "Super Series" is on! What you don't know what the "Super Series" is? 1975 Red Sox vs the Reds in what was the greatest world series ever (until the Sox broke the curse) As I watched I started to remember everything so vividly, the reason I hate Joe Morgan still to this day! The names started to reappear in my head just the way Mr Draper's advanced algebra lessons did when a few years back I was forced via a radio station bet to remember the quadratic formula. "What" yeah me too! Now this is not a trip down Red Sox's fan memory lane, although email me sometime and we can go on for hours. The way I started to flashback to the '75 series remembering every name, every second, my anger, exhilaration, and eventually sadness and the belief that the world ended when the Reds stole the series from who should have been the world champs! Well let's not debate.

This sudden tidal wave of detailed memories and emotions got me thinking. Why is it that some events in our lives mean so much and seem so relevant then days, weeks, months, years or sometimes just hours are suddenly meaningless. I started thinking about the events of this week! Just a week ago Hottie was released from the hospital from what was at times a life threatening illness. Or when Avril Lavigne appeared on American Idol and I thought what a bitch, then the next night Katie Perry, who is for sure a bitch! (BTW THOSE ARE JUST MY OPINIONS!) The presidents state of the union when it was evident that we voted in another cog in the political machine. Kurt Warner retired, J D Salinger writer of Catcher in the Rye died, Howard Zinn writer of "A Peoples History of The United States" also died, Bret Farve made the worst decision in his life on the football field and now we're are left with "WhoDat" Go ahead sue me!

The point I'm trying to make is simple! These things that we forget, file away or whatever are all just another spoke in the wheel of our lives. Things that are so important then lose the sting after time passes. Does that mean that these memories are not important? On the Contrary, they are our lives. The important details, the threads of the fabric of our lives (Hey is that a commercial). All these memories, good, bad, sad, happy and yes even the ones we want to forget. Yes, these are all "Just another spoke in the wheel" of our lives, but isn't that the reason our lives keep going. Rolling along through thick and thin, bouncing in and out of the ruts we call a lifetime.

As I leave you this week here is the lesson, the past is the past, the future is the future. I invite you to live right here right now, live every moment, every second, say everything you want to say, do everything you want to do, let nothing hold you back because you will never be able to really live this second to the fullest in the future or the past!

Get on with dying or living, you make the call!
